Ideate 2019 discussed the high ambitions and aspirations of the rural youth; the constraints and solutions required for their transition from dependence to independence; how to motivate them towards skilling and reskilling, and create job opportunities for them. “Achieving Aspirations of Rural Youth – Challenges and Avenues” was the topic in 2019 which was organized in partnership with FICCI Odisha State Council.
Keynote speaker Ms Yamini Aiyar, President & CEO, Centre for Policy Research, New Delhi highlighted the importance of development of education and health sectors and the challenge of employability of rural youth .Other distinguished panelists included Mr Bijay Sahoo, Group President (HR), Reliance Industries & Chairperson, FICCI Skill Development Committee, Mumbai; Ms Neeti Sharma, Senior Vice President, Team Lease Services, Bengaluru; Dr Fakir Mohan Sahoo, Research Professor, Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar; and Mr Anil Pradhan, Founder, International Public School for Rural Innovation, Odisha. Ms Fatima Mahdi Karan, Business Editor, New Delhi moderated the panel discussion. Panelist deliberated solutions to the roadblocks in achieving our demographic dividend and making our rural youth more productive.
